Why District Judge?
Tony is running for district judge for three core reasons:

1. Serve the community that graciously welcomed his family and has become home.
2. Ensure that judicial independence, law, facts, reason, and rationality remain the foundation of our judicial system.

3. Through public service, bring his career full-circle and follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.
Tony's Story
Tony is an attorney, former small business owner, and professional. He is admitted to practice law in three states, passing each bar exam the first time. He graduated New York Law School cum laude and started his career as a judicial law clerk with the Superior Court of Connecticut. Quickly proving his professionalism, Tony was assigned to various unsupervised court houses throughout the state to work directly with judges while most clerks remained in the main, supervised location in New Haven. Tony reviewed attorney pleadings, researched law, and drafted opinions to resolve procedural and substantive issues of civil and criminal matters. Perhaps the best part of his clerkship, however, was meeting his wife.
After completing his judicial clerkship, Tony joined Disney's Advertising Standards team where he quickly became an expert in the field and a leader on the team. Teaching himself advertising law, compliance and regulation, Tony soon started speaking at CLE's and lecturing. Tony cultivated his knowledge and experience into developing and teaching New York Law School's first advertising law and compliance class.
After the birth of their son, Tony and his wife made a family decision to move to Cincinnati, where his wife is from. Before passing the Ohio bar exam, Tony seized an opportunity to pursue his entrepreneurial interests by opening a full service restaurant and bar. With the help of his wife and brothers-in-law, the restaurant would soon generate over $1 Million in annual sales and become a staple of the community. As dining room manager, Tony developed close relationships with guests and managed guest relations. He also oversaw legal matters, marketing, bookkeeping, vendor relations, and a staff of over thirty. In order to give back to the community, Tony regularly held fundraisers for schools and other organizations, including local chapters of The American Heart Association and The American Cancer Society. Tony also took the lead on franchise-level initiatives, including uniting franchisees for marketing campaigns and fundraising.
After seven years of operation, Tony sold the business and joined a small law firm where he represented clients in small claims and estate planning matters. Tony hit the ground running by leveraging his legal experience as a law clerk, real-world experience as a business owner, and people-experience managing the dining room of the restaurant. One matter that stands out is when the interior of a condo owner's unit sustained severe water damage after heavy rains caused flooding in the nearby common area. The attorney for the condo association asserted there was no way the association or its insurance would cover the damages - "it never happens," he said, because the unit owners have insurance to cover these situations. Tony didn't settle for that approach. His client was financially strapped and could not afford her insurance premium to skyrocket or her plan to be cancelled. So he fought for her, spending hours on the phone investigating prior issues with the common area drainage systems. His time and energy paid off when Tony found a piece of evidence that persuaded the association's insurance to cover the damages. Although this matter isn't "big" in the grand scheme of things, it meant everything to a client with little resources. In addition to the win, Tony agreed to cut the client's bill by nearly half.
After a couple of years in practice, Tony's wife's career appeared to be leading the family back east to Pennsylvania. With this impending move, Tony seized the opportunity to rejoin Disney’s Advertising Standards team. After a quick house-hunting trip, Tony and his family landed in West Chester.
Back at Disney, Tony quickly reasserted himself as an expert and leader. Much like a district judge does on a day-to-day basis, Tony assesses the facts, identifies the core issues, and makes reasoned decisions that hold up against precedent. He is established throughout the company as a go-to person to resolve issues and answer questions that move business forward. Tony works effectively with a variety of teams throughout the company and conducts himself with professionalism and integrity.

As much as he loves his job and the people he works with, Tony wants to make it his job to serve his community. Tony will be dedicated to serving as district judge and will bring the same leadership skills, experience, and professionalism demonstrated throughout his career.
